Originally designed in 2005 for our first retail shop in Kailua, the Global Distance T-shirt puts Hawai‘i at the center of the world. This map design highlights the distances from Hawai‘i to various continents and countries, emphasizing our islands’ unique isolation within the vast Pacific Ocean. Each ring radiating from Hawai‘i serves as a reminder of how far we are from other ‘āina (lands), underscoring both the geographic seclusion and the special nature of life in Hawai‘i.
